Personalized Psychotherapy Session
This is your space and respite from the chaos of the busy-ness, stress, anxiety and constant demands of life, both self-imposed and set by others. Give yourself permission to rest in this safe-haven. Criticism and negative self-talk are powerless when self-compassion and gratitude show up.
Let’s take a dive into messiness.
Together, we will identify specific opportunities for growth. Through a combination of discussion, writing, and exercises, we will explore the uncharted territory of emotions and thoughts that drive behaviors.
Regardless how you got to this place, it’s time to dive in, get messy, and find the peace you’ve been missing.
Whether you’re here to combat negative consequences of perfectionism; are facing life transitions such as divorce, career change, empty nesting; the anticipated loss or death of a loved one, or a teen struggling with the paralyzing affects of anxiety in today’s high pressured world… the journey will be worth traveling.
Courage requires risk. Any new way of thinking or behaving will initially feel uncomfortable. Authentic Gains will be made with a decided heart and a conscious commitment to the process despite the unknown.
Emotion Thermometer
Going from zero to 100 in emotion is not so uncommon. For instance, exploding at someone for something and then wondering “how did I get here… Why am I so angry at him/her?” has become a way of life for many. Fortunately, you are seeking awareness and tools to correct this pattern in the future.
As a trained EMDR therapist, I can help you identify the cause of the negative core beliefs that impact your functioning. We will use this evidenced-based therapeutic technique to integrate previously hidden core beliefs that show up in your current life.
By identifying past memories where this belief originated and processing the memory with bilateral stimulation, we will link the past to the present and help you change thinking patterns in the future.
Individual Therapy Sessions
Individual Therapy Sessions: After the initial assessment, we will create a treatment plan with your specific goals and identify the most effective plan for getting you the results you desire. While there is no designated number of sessions required, clients usually gain the most traction for change when they commit to a minimum of 6-8 sessions.
In my individual work with clients, I combine parts of the Daring Greatly™ and Rising Strong™ curriculum to help clients enhance their learning and develop shame resilience skills in between sessions.
